THE BEGINNING

Pananom Co

In 2020, amidst a world seeking beauty and hope, Pananom Co. was born in Legazpi, Albay. The name "Pananom Co," inspired by the Bicol term "pananom ko" meaning "my plants", reflects our humble beginnings and unwavering passion for growth.

What started as a personal love for flowering plants and landscape design evolved into something far greater: a floral atelier dedicated to bringing the refined aesthetics of Korean floral artistry to the Philippines.

Our work is more than decoration, it's an experience. From intimate gatherings to grand corporate events, we craft floral designs that elevate moments and create lasting memories.

Ar. Megan Oringo
Philippine Architect & Floral Artist

The one who made everything bloom.

Megan Oringo's journey into floral design is one of passion meeting purpose. As a licensed Philippine architect with a background in design, structure, and spatial thinking, Megan brought an architect's precision and a designer's eye to the world of flowers.

But her story truly began with a simple love — a love for flowering plants, nature, and the quiet elegance of landscape design.

From Manila to Seoul: Training Under the Masters

In 2020, while the world paused, Megan's commitment to excellence only deepened. She made the decision to travel to Seoul, South Korea — the epicenter of modern Korean floral artistry — to train under master florists whose work had captivated her for years.

At VeryView Flower Art, one of Seoul's most respected floral academies, Megan immersed herself in advanced techniques that define the Korean aesthetic: airy textures, natural movement, sophisticated color palettes, and the art of storytelling through flowers.

The Founding of Pananom Floral Academy

In 2024, Megan founded Pananom Floral Design Academy (PFDA) — not just a school, but a movement.

PFDA was born from a belief that every Filipino florist deserves access to world-class training. That passion and creativity, when paired with technical mastery, can build not just beautiful arrangements, but sustainable businesses. That flowers can be more than a hobby — they can be a livelihood, a legacy, a calling.

The Vision

PFDA bridges two worlds: the refined, structured elegance of Korean floral design and the vibrant, soulful creativity inherent in Filipino artistry.

The academy offers Philippine-based certification programs that meet international standards, empowering students to:

🌷 Master the techniques used by Seoul's top florists
🌷 Build profitable floral businesses ("flowerpreneurship")
🌷 Earn internationally recognized certifications (KFTA, PFDA)
🌷 Access exclusive masterclasses with Korean floral masters

Why PFDA Exists

For too long, aspiring Filipino florists faced a choice: invest heavily in international travel for training, or settle for limited local resources.

PFDA eliminates that gap. By bringing Korean master florists to Manila and offering rigorous, hands-on certification programs locally, PFDA makes world-class floral education accessible, affordable, and rooted in Filipino culture.

The PFDA Difference

Trained by Korea's Best

PFDA students learn directly from Seoul's most respected floral masters: the same instructors training florists across Asia and beyond.

International Certification

PFDA is an official partner of KFTA (Korean Flower Art Training Association), offering Philippine-based certification that's recognized globally.

Business-Focused Curriculum

Beyond bouquet-making, PFDA teaches pricing strategy, branding, client management, and the practical skills needed to launch and sustain a floral business.

A Community, Not Just a Class

PFDA students join a growing network of Filipino florists, sharing resources, opportunities, and support as they build their careers.

The Impact

Since its founding, PFDA has trained dozens of students from complete beginners to established florists seeking to refine their craft. Graduates have gone on to:

🌼Launch their own floral studios
🌼 Work with luxury hotels and corporate clients
🌼 Teach workshops in their communities
🌼 Represent the Philippines in international floral competitions

But the most important impact? PFDA has proven that Filipino florists can compete — and excel — on the global stage.
